Hi everyone, this might be a rather odd question but what is the maximum distance anyone has every ridden a Boris Bike for in one day? We are all hardened cyclists and are planning to ride in a series of events over the summer.

The finale will be the Bike 4 Cancer London to Brighton Bike ride http://www.bike4cancer.org/london-to-brighton-bike-ride.

Do you think we could ride 60 miles on one of Boris’s machines and get them back to Clapham again within say 10 hours?!?!?!? It would certainly add some spice to the ride and I am sure we would raise a few more quid for the charity if we did this!

Has anyone done anything like this before? Did the bikes fall to pieces after 60 miles? All advice/tips would be appreciated! Many thanks!

Bravo! Once I ride 6 hours and the distance was only 30 miles. Only 5 miles per hour.
