I’m part of a group of product designers who are also cyclists and occasional Boris Bike users. We think that cycle helmets are a good thing, but we also suspect that there are some reasons other than safety concerns why some Boris bikers choose not to wear a helmet.
We’re looking to produce a low-cost, fully collapsible cycle helmet which we plan to make available near every Boris Bike docking station in London. We’d love to hear from you, the Boris Bike community, whether this is something which you might be interested in.
