I stupidly left my keys in the Bramham Gardens dock a few weeks ago, and someone was nice enough to drop them in the post so that they’d get returned to the police. Despite the fact that they were lost near Earl’s Court, they somehow wound up at the police station in Grays, which is 20 miles outside of the cycle zone, and thus a pain in the arse for me to get to.

I rang them up and they were kind enough to post them back to me for free. Not only was that sincerely appreciated, it was also in sharp contrast to TFL, who wanted to charge me £1.20 for postage to send me a record of my recent journey details when their own site was messed up for weeks a few months back.
