    I agree with bbb entirely apart from the thing about the initial fear of driving in London for the first time – I never had this fear! I was well up for it lol :)

    Also that schulterblick wotsit is called a lifesaver check on the motorbike test. You’re supposed to check your blind spots on the car test too. If people forget to do that afterwards that’s not the fault of the driving test.

    I do this check in my normal course of driving. People often comment on how amazed they are that I drive through London so naturally and easily respond to what they perceive to be sudden situations, but actually they are almost always predictable.
