Nice idea, but there are several issues I see with it:
- it’d only be available for a subset of users
- it assumes a user returns the bike, presses the fault button and then immediately logs on to their email to fill out a form
- what happens if an on-street mechanic gets to the bike before you’ve completed the fault report form? Do they just leave the bike in the dock until they receive the form? – what if the form is never sent back?
- given the existing lag in journey records being updated, would an email be sent soon enough?
