I stopped off at Waterloo on the way home and was very pleased to see there is a CCTV camera that points directly at the Waterloo 3 docking station. This should have a record of me replacing the bike.
My next step is to contact the Station Manager and first ensure the footage is retained and second to try and get a look.
I am exasperated by Barclays Cycle Hire… the help desk tells me someone will call but they haven’t called me yet despite 3 attempts to get some action.
I still think it would be an interesting test case because I believe this proves that the system is not reliable and hence calls into question all late and excessive charges.
Once I have the CCTV footage I shall be contacting the media if Barclays Cycle Hire haven’t sorted this out by then!
