I was more amazed by the fact that there were at least two big blokes on the pavement but they did nothing. The one with the arms crossed made a vague attempt to help but crossed the arms back pretty quickly. And the other was too busy taking pictures on his phone so he can show his mates later on. I know this film must have played a vital role for tracking down those guys but could I just stand there and watch my friend getting knocked down without even trying to help him so I can keep my helmet cam rolling? I guess not.
I don’t know what altercation they had before this incident happened and it’s never right to use violence, but I have seen some cyclists behaving abominably on the streets (to cars and other cyclists) that made me feel shameful to be lumped together with them as one group. Manners and personal hygiene seem to take a back seat with some people when they get on a bike.
